Fundy Trail Master Plan

The Fundy Trail Parkway is one of the greatest achievements in the history of tourism development in New Brunswick — a 30-kilometre drive offering spectacular coastal views of the Bay of Fundy and a host of cultural and natural experiences in one of the last vestiges of unspoiled wilderness along the North American seaboard. Glenn Group was responsible for the non-drive portions of the site development, including scenic lookouts, trails, site furnishings, and sensitive site naturalization. Completed in 2020 with A.D. Fiander Associates, our Draft Master Plan provides a blueprint for priority investments over the next ten years — transforming the parkway into a profitable destination attraction that protects the natural environment while allowing surrounding communities and organizations to partner in its success. The planning process included sessions with First Nations and stakeholders alongside customer-profile needs analysis. Our earlier work on the parkway spans a 1997 master plan integrating the parkway with the Fundy Footpath, and from 1997 to 2019 the design of landscape treatments, trails, infrastructure, and Indigenous planting to naturalize land disturbed during construction.
